ECOR SELECTED AS DENMARKS
SUSTAINABLE BUILD INNOVATOR.

Eric Logtens, Corporate Director Circular Economy, CEO Benelux, at Sustainable Build 2017

Every year Sustainable Build elects 8-10 innovators within the theme of sustainable building.
Being one of the chosen innovators, Noble Environmental Technologies gained access to the Sustainable Build Accelerator Forum. Here the innovators got the opportunity to present and discuss their solutions with some of the strongest actors and investors in the Danish building sector.

In 2017 Sustainable Build is focusing on recycling and upcycling solutions. Based on feedback from their Build Up event, Sustainable Build created a call for innovations that could provide answers to the question:
“How do we ensure maximum recycling of materials, components and buildings in the future?”

Eric Logtens, Corporate Director Circular Economy for Noble Environmental Technologies, represented ECOR at the Accelerator Forum on 31 May and 1 June in Godsbanen in Aarhus, Denmark.

“A great experience and opportunity”; Eric Logtens explains, “We have been able to create deep understanding of our ability to help achieve circular economic ambitions within a multi stakeholder cooperation. Closed loop material reutilization of wasted cellulose fibers to become resources for regional partners in the development of new ECOR alloys and the interest for ECOR panels for the Danish building sector were investigated and defined”.

Even the possibilities of establishing an ELF, an ECOR Living Factory, with regional industrial and investment partners is part of the defined perspectives for future sustainable developments. Expanding our activities as ECOR and become active on the Danish market accelerates our envisioned “technology through partnerships / communities to market” engagement in Europe.

The integrity and objective to obtain defined material flows by applying a commonly agreed upon and transparent set of environmental criteria describing the final goal of environmental optimisation as well as the achieved status by all partners is the basis for our vision;

Enabling co-Creativity, co-Operation, co- Responsibility.

Within a dynamic network of experts that actively support the envisioned mission from a separable functionality yet respecting each other’s expertise to ensure reliable implementation of ECOR as a constructive and decorative “Best Choice” product. From a well-defined, first Cradle as an effective multiplier to the next.

Sustainable Build is a collaboration between The Danish Industry Foundation and the Danish Architecture Center, and has been developed together with Leaderlab. The project derives from a call for initiatives promoting sustainable production by the Danish Industry Foundation.

The purpose of SUSTAINABLE BUILD is to create growth in sustainable building. They help strengthen the competitiveness of sustainable solutions and scale new sustainable products and business models. This is done through an increase in innovation, knowledge sharing and strengthening cooperation across the building industry.
